Preceptor Training
Required Modules
All preceptors must complete an Orientation Module annually, as appropriate to their rotation type. New preceptors are required to complete the Student Assessment Module, which may also serve as a reminder to existing preceptors.
Student Assessment
For preceptors submitting availability for the 2025-2026 year, there are two required modules to complete prior to entering the matching process: Student Assessment and Preceptor Orientation 2025-2026. Please ensure that you record your completion by entering the date directly into your CORE ELMS profile.

Frame of Reference Training (FORT) for Student Assessment
We created the Frame of Reference Training (FORT) modules to establish a common understanding of assessment criteria in order to enhance consistency of student assessments by preceptors.
Deliberate Practice (New 2024)
This module will be of interest to preceptors who would like to learn strategies for precepting struggling students.
