Preceptor Training
Required Modules
All preceptors must complete an Orientation Module annually, as appropriate to their rotation type. New preceptors are required to complete the Student Assessment Module, which may also serve as a reminder to existing preceptors.
Student Assessment
Preceptors are required to complete two modules prior to the start of their block: Student Assessment and the relevant Preceptor Orientation. Please ensure that you record your completion by entering the date directly into your CORE ELMS profile.

Frame of Reference Training (FORT) for Student Assessment
We created the Frame of Reference Training (FORT) modules to establish a common understanding of assessment criteria in order to enhance consistency of student assessments by preceptors.
This module will be of interest to preceptors who would like to learn strategies for precepting struggling students.
